Household
pets are an important part of our families and their care has
an environmental impact. We can help make that impact positive
for the environment, the pet and our families.
Tips
Purchase
chemical free human quality food for your pets it will keep them
healthier and will make their feces smaller - less to pick up
and less to throw away!
Choose a biodegradable clumping cat litter.
Pick up and dispose of dog poo in your rubbish -- do not compost it.
Reduce pesticide use in the yard. Since most pets don't wear footwear (in
fact, many lick their feet), they are especially vulnerable to lawn and garden
chemicals.
Use biodegradable and natural grooming products found at
a growing number of pet stores.
